We’re reviewing two pillows by the sleep brand Nectar. Famous for its foam mattresses, how do their pillows measure up? Read on to find out if they’re right for you!
The Nerd’s Take: Nectar is a mattress and bedding company that focuses on quality and comfort, without breaking the bank. At Mattress Nerd, we love Nectar for their affordability and comfy-cozy sleep products!
In this review, we’re taking a look at two similar pillows from the brand, the Nectar Graphite pillow and the Premier Copper pillow. They’re both upgrades from the brand’s original pillow, and they come with some extra cooling technologies as well. They have practically the same construction with a minor change in cooling material. We cover each model’s construction, compare their feel and price, and recommend who they’ll work best for. We’ll also share more information about Nectar’s purchase and return policies.

Nectar Graphite Pillow
The Nectar Graphite pillow is a shredded memory foam pillow with a cooling cover. It absorbs moisture, doesn’t retain body heat, and is hypoallergenic.
Materials
Cover
The cover is made of polyethylene yarn, making it cool to the touch and moisture wicking. It’s actually the same fabric Nectar uses on their mattresses. It’s also graphite infused, hence the name. The carbon fibers in graphite act as a conductor to absorb moisture and dissipate heat, making it great for hot sleepers who tend to get sweaty at night. The cover is also antimicrobial, which is great considering this pillow is spot clean only. That’ll help keep it clean, but for added measure, I’d recommend adding a pillowcase of your own on top that you can easily machine wash.
Fill
The graphite pillow’s fill is made of shredded memory foam. It contours to your shape as you apply pressure, and is protected in a lining to keep it all together.
Feel
The Nectar Graphite pillow feels contouring and doughy. When I laid back, my head sank into the soft, impressionable pieces of foam, while still staying elevated on the surface. I felt the cooling cover immediately against my face, which was very refreshing. I also noticed it maintained its coolness for a while, but eventually, it subsided after lying in the same position. Once I moved from my back to my side, the cooling relief started again. I overall felt very supported around my head and neck, my shoulders had enough room to fall nicely, and I could easily transition between my two main sleeping positions, my back and side.
This pillow comes with a five inch loft, which is a perfect “middle” height, not too high or low. It’ll work best for back sleepers of all body types and light to average weight side sleepers. I also think heavyweight stomach sleepers would enjoy this option, since you’ll be able to sink into the surface and still maintain spinal alignment.
Who will love the Nectar Graphite Pillow?
- Memory foam lovers
- Hot sleepers
- Back sleepers, light to average weight side sleepers, heavyweight stomach sleepers
Who should steer clear of the Nectar Graphite Pillow?
- Heavyweight side sleepers
- Lightweight stomach sleepers
- Down feather pillow lovers
Size | Dimensions | Price |
Standard | 26 x 17.3″ x 5″ | $99 |
King | 33.5″x 17.3″ x 5″ | $119 |
Nectar Premier Copper Pillow
The Nectar Premier Copper pillow is also a shredded memory foam pillow with a cooling cover. It has an almost identical design to the Graphite model, but has slightly better cooling technology thanks to the copper-infusion.
Materials
Cover
The Premier Copper’s cover is made of polyethylene yarn and infused with copper fibers. Copper does a better job at wicking moisture and dissipating body heat than Graphite. It’s also naturally antimicrobial, so this pillow will also help keep allergens at bay.
Fill
The Premier Copper pillow features the same fill material as the Graphite, shredded memory foam.
Feel
When I tested this model out, it gave me a significant cooling sensation when I initially laid down. It felt like I had a cold compress against my cheek. I’d say it stayed equally as cold as the Graphite model during the first few minutes, but the Premier Copper did hold its temperature for longer. As for the foam itself, considering it’s the same as the Graphite model, it felt the same to lie on. It was equally as comfortable and easy to move positions. It’ll also work for the same sleeping positions since the loft at five inches is identical to the other model.

Nerd’s Final Take
At the end of the day, these two pillows are like fraternal twins. Their main difference is the material used to help keep these pillows cool. Coming in at the same price point, it’s a matter of what cooling experience you’re looking for that differentiates these two from one another. I’d say if you’ve tried every cooling pillow with no relief, get yourself the ultimate cooling option in the Premier model. But, if you want a cooling pillow but it doesn’t need to feel like you’re sleeping against an ice pack, the Graphite option will get the job done.
Even if you don’t sleep particularly hot, I’d still say either pillow is a solid purchase for back sleepers of all body types. The pressure relief from the shredded memory foam is ideal for back sleepers who want contouring comfort for their head and neck, and the medium loft allows enough room for the shoulders to comfortably lie against the bed. Both pillows sit at a reasonable price point given their quality features, and come with impressive policies that allow you to try out either model risk free.
