What Does GhostBed Natural Feel Like?
When it comes to feel, this bed is super bouncy and supportive thanks to the latex and coil combination. The top layer of latex foam also has a cushioning feel, so you feel cradled by the bed without sinking into its layers.

Back Sleepers
Back sleeping is the easiest position to accommodate because it’s the healthiest position for your posture and spine. Lightweight, average-weight, and heavyweight back sleepers should find that the GhostBed Natural hugs the spine and keeps you supported. Side Sleepers

Edge Support
Edge support is important for couples who need space from each other, people who like to sleep along the sides of the bed, and those with mobility issues (because they can use the edge of the bed to get in and out). The great thing about the GhostBed Natural is that the coils around the edges are reinforced. This makes for really solid edge support all around the perimeter.
Responsiveness
Responsiveness refers to how easy it is to move around the surface of the mattress. Latex foam is naturally bouncy and responsive, and so is the coil support core. You see where I’m going with this: the GhostBed Natural is super responsive, so much so that we gave it a 5/5 in our ease of movement test.
Motion Isolation: Is it good for those who share a bed?
Though latex foam is very bouncy, it also works to help keep motion transfer at bay. This means if you sleep with a partner who tosses and turns or has an affinity for getting up for midnight snacks, you shouldn’t feel too much of their movements on this mattress.

Noise
The coils inside the GhostBed Natural are pretty much silent. If you experience any noise moving around on this bed, it could be your foundation instead of your mattress.
Pain Relief
The contouring latex foam in the GhostBed Natural helps keep joint pain at bay by evenly distributing your weight across the mattress, so it doesn’t build up at your pressure points. This is important for people who have hip or shoulder pain. We did see some pressure in the hips of lightweight side sleepers, so that is something to be aware of.
When it comes to lower back pain, it shouldn’t be an issue either thanks to the GhostBed Natural’s ability to keep the spine aligned.

Sex
There are two big factors in a good mattress for sex: responsiveness and durability. We’ve already covered that this bed is bouncy and responsive, and this mattress is also built to last.
As an extra plus, this mattress is very breathable, so you and your partner’s body heat shouldn’t build up too much during sex.
Off-Gassing
If you’re not familiar, off-gassing refers to the cleaning-product smell a mattress may emit after unboxing. Natural and organic mattresses usually don’t off-gas as strongly as beds that use other kinds of foam, and that was true in the case of the GhostBed Natural.

GhostBed Natural Mattress Construction: What’s it made of?
The GhostBed Natural mattress uses four high-quality natural and organic layers, plus a mattress cover made with organic cotton. Here, I’ll break down each layer and tell you what that means for mattress performance.
Layer #1—Organic Cotton Cover: The cover of this mattress is made from organic cotton and free from chemicals and toxins.
Layer #2—Natural Wool: The wool in this mattress has two purposes: to evenly disperse body heat and to act as a fire barrier.
Layer #3—Natural Talalay Latex: Here we have the primary comfort layer: latex foam. The Talalay latex layer is softer and better at regulating temperature than Dunlop latex. Layer #4—Individually Wrapped Coils: The primary support layer of the GhostBed Natural has pocketed coils that help with motion isolation, breathability, and durability.

How Do the Policies Measure Up?
Shipping & Unboxing
Because GhostBed mattresses are made in the U.S., shipping is free (except for Alaska and Hawaii) and you should receive your new bed within two to five business days of ordering. White glove delivery is offered for an additional fee. This includes unboxing, setup, and removal of your old mattress.
The GhostBed Natural arrives at your door as a bed in a box. It took our team just under two minutes to unbox the mattress. This bed was super heavy, so make sure to tap a partner before trying to get it out of the box.
Warranty
GhostBed’s mattress warranty for the Natural is 25 years long and only applies to the original purchaser. It covers body indentions deeper than 1” and any defects that aren’t from misuse or mishandling.
During the first 10 years, GhostBed will cover any replacement or repair costs; during the second 10 years, they’ll charge a prorated amount, plus transportation costs.
Trial Period & Returns
Nature’s Sleep offers a 101-night sleep trial period during which you can sleep on your new bed like normal for up to 101 nights before making the final decision whether or not to return it. During this timeframe, see if the firmness level and feel are to your liking. But remember, give it at least 30 days to break in.
If you decide the GhostBed Natural isn’t for you, the return policy states that you can return it during the 101-night window for free. Simply request a return using a form on their website. GhostBed will come to retrieve the mattress and have it donated or recycled.

Addressing GhostBed Natural Mattress Complaints
- Not Actively Cool: GhostBed mattresses have a reputation for being cooling beds. However, unlike other GhostBeds made with cooling technology or gel memory foam, the GhostBed Natural uses naturally cooling materials such as latex and coils. This means your bed won’t sleep ice-cold; it’ll just keep you from overheating at night.
